Fashion editors, celebs and off-duty models have all been rocking this 80’s style classic. Truthfully they’ve been around for a couple of years now, but my love-affair started just a few months ago.
Previously I had shied away, I thought they’d be unflattering, however I realised that you can really play around with this type of cut, it’s extremely versatile. Team with heels to help elongate the leg, wear belted or with a crop-top to show off tiny waistlines, roll up the leg and wear with flat footwear for a cool daytime look.
Let me tell you, these babies are majorly comfortable too! Way more freeing and less restricted than most other denim styles. No more squashing and squeezing my internal organs into the ever popular Skinny Jean and post-bloating after a big meal could be a thing of the past – score!
There is also something so effortlessly cool about the Mom Jean, so less obviously sexy and more subtle. I’m about to buy my second pair, this time in black. Both Zara and Pull & Bear have great versions, go try a pair on, you won’t regret it!
