Last night I had the pleasure of attending designer Yana Azzopardi’s jewellery exhibition at the beautiful Palazzo De Piro in Mdina.
If you haven’t heard of Yana’s Jewellery you might be living under a rock. Well known for her stunning precious stones, crystals and coiled rope detail, all passionately sourced and handmade by Yana herself.
No Maltese wedding is complete without a large amount of the female guests wearing one of her creations. It’s become as popular a sight at a wedding party as the pashmina. What’s extra special about Yana’s is that no two designs are the same and her pieces have the ability to transform a plain dress into something special.
Last night’s exhibition was made up of statement necklaces inspired by the the magical Bali, each piece uniquely Yana! I left my camera at home so I had to make do with my camera phone, I apologise for the poor quality, the photos definitely do not do the pieces justice.
